![]() I have been useing Walmart one hour photo processing for over a month. Wamart sends their work to a third party for printing (it takes a My impression is that he was a complete novice, and that this Print a single photo from any media, and hence didn't want to Next time I came in with another CD he told me that he can only ![]() Nevertheless he printed the photos for 48cents each. This will ruin his machine, because there are many photos on theĬD. My experience with Walmart here (Baltimore, MD) is different. When this is done, they are completely indistinguishable from traditional media prints. They DO say "Printed by " on the back when you get them, but this is easily erased with a standard pencil eraser. The prints are Fuji CrystalArchive paper. One more observation.the Picture Maker prints are obviously print-outs, as you cannot change the "Image Magic Paper" logos all over the back of these prints. I have gotten MUCH better results using this, and the cost is about half what the Kodak Picture Maker is. This is just like a traditional photo print. (which my original post referred to) uses a Fuji digital-to-film process which actually uses standard Fuji paper and chemicals. The back of these prints say Kodak Image Magic Paper, and aren't very high quality. WalMart stores have standard Kodak Picture Makers, which use Dye-Sub printers and Kodak paper printed at 314dpi continuous tone. There is a huge difference between WalMart stores digital prints and digital prints. And yes, Sam's Club is a few cents cheaper, I just discovered that a few weeks ago and haven't tried them yet, but I'm sure it's the same service. In fact I had a professional photograph my wedding last year, and the back of the prints say Walmart on them. Quality is as good as anyone else as far as I know. Couldn't be easier than that!! And they are really fast, two or three days and they're in my mailbox. Just upload, select print size, and they ship the pics right to your door. ![]() I've always used Walmart since I've had digital cameras. Images are transferred from digital to paper. They say the prints are onįujifilm Crystal Archive paper, but don't speak of the way the Their prices are cheap enough,Īnd they charge nothing for shipping if they are delivered to any I was curious if anyone has used WalMart for digital prints andĬould comment on quality/longevity. "There is a shipping and handling charge of $1.95 per order via US Mail (regardless of how many prints you purchase)." I'm assuming it's the same photo service, but who knows? By the way, is slightly cheaper, and you don't have to be a Sams member to order prints from their site, but they don't have an in-store pickup option like WalMart does.
